Turkey Sends Most Workers To Iraq In 2011 Print E-mail

ImageAccording to ISKUR's statistics, 5,526 Turkish workers went to Iraq in the first seven months of 2011 with a 113.6 percent year-on-year rise.
Turkey sent the highest number of workers to Iraq in the first seven months of 2011, according to Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR).
According to ISKUR's statistics, 5,526 Turkish workers went to Iraq in the first seven months of 2011 with a 113.6 percent year-on-year rise.

The number of Turkish people who went to Iraq to work in 2010 was 5,405.

 

The total number of Turkish people who went abroad to work was down 4.49 percent year-on-year to 27,421 in the first seven months of 2011.  A total of 1,900 workers went to Libya in January and February 2011, however only 37 Turkish people went to Libya to work in March due to the unrest in this country. Only five Turkish workers went to Libya in April.
Turkish people working in Libya was 15,643 in 2010.
The number of Turkish people who went abroad to work since 1960 climbed over 2,300,000.
